OMG!  Another draft from August that I  never posted.  I’m now in the middle of my next stay-cation!  I actually accomplished many of the goals on my original list.  So, here’s the updated one:

  1. Finish cleaning out hall closet.  Many items have already been tossed or put/sold on ebay.  Time to finish the project.
  2. Spend time with my son!!  We are going to be seeing a ton of movies this vacation.
  3. Workout, workout, workout – I’ve just started a weight training program and have already seen some nice progress.

From Aug. 2014:

Actually, it is really a stay-cation, and I have a lot of goals for it.

  1. Clean out hall closet.
  2. Clean out bedroom closet.
  3. Sort closet items into keep, give away, throw away and ebay piles.
  4. List items on ebay*.
  5. Workout everyday!  (Ok, I have to admit that this is an easy one for me since I have become addicted to my workouts.)

*If they haven’t sold in 3 months, give them away!  It’s not worth keeping the clutter any longer.  I am a closet hoarder –literally.  You walk into my home and at first glance everything is organized and put away – until you open my closets.

Life’s curve balls…

I want to scream!!  And cry!!  But I will restrain myself (at least while I’m at work) and do neither of these things.  Life throws you curve balls right?  That’s how we are tested?  I will get through this new challenge like I always do, but right now I just need to let myself have this emotional reaction.

I just found this blog post in my drafts from September – the day after Labor Day to be precise.  I weathered this storm as I always do, but also learned some new things about myself along the way.  I need to voice my expectations of others.  I can’t expect them to read my mind, and if they don’t like what they hear, well tough!  Sounds harsh, but I can’t continue to carry the weight of others.

In 2015, I Will…

  • Only do the things that I know will make me happier. And, if I’m happier, everyone around me will be too.
  • Weight lift!  It’s the time to change up my fitness routine.
  • Take a solo vacation, even if only for 2 days.
  • Be the best mother, friend, etc I can be.
  • Always be present.
  • Meditate!
  • Do 10 perfect push-ups.

These aren’t New Year’s resolutions since I’ve already started some.  I’ve read many times that those who are most successful in completing their goals write them down and review them on a regular basis.  So here’s to 2015!
